Installation Note 50071: When you create a subsetted order with recipe functionality, the depot that is created does not contain the utilities folder

DetailsAboutRate It

When a depot is created from download or media and not subsetted by recipe, the utilities folder exists. However, when you use the recipe functionality to subset an order, the depot that contains the subset does not include the utilities folder.

Not including the utilities folder reduces the size of the subsetted order. A regular depot could be 6GB or more. The subsetted-by-recipe depot with the utility folder is 3.4GB. The subsetted-by-recipe depot without the utility folder is 1.7GB.

The utilities folder contains the following subfolders:

  • depotchecker
  • depotcopier
  • smu92
  • smu93
  • smu94
